Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over your data.

Effective: 1 April 2026  |  TomDigital Media, tomdigital.in

1. Who We Are

TomDigital (tomdigital.in) is a digital marketing publication operated by TomDigital Media, based in India. This privacy policy applies to all pages and features available at tomdigital.in. For questions about how we handle your data, contact us at support@tomdigital.in or through our contact page.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly: When you use our contact form or newsletter subscription, we collect the name and email address you submit. We do not request or store payment information.

Information collected automatically: When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure and analytics tools automatically log standard technical data — your approximate IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on each page. This data does not personally identify you.

Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies for three purposes: measuring how articles are read (analytics), personalising advertisements (advertising), and remembering your site preferences (functional). You can manage cookie preferences using the consent banner displayed on your first visit, or by adjusting your browser settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries submitted via our contact form
  • Send newsletters to subscribers who have opted in
  • Analyse how content is used so we can improve it
  • Display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense and its partners
  • Comply with any legal obligations we may be subject to

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that would have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our site. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads based on your interests and prior browsing activity. This may involve the use of your data across websites that participate in Google's advertising network.

You can review Google's advertising privacy practices and opt out of interest-based ads at Google Ads Settings. You may also manage preferences via the Your Online Choices tool or aboutads.info.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our content. Data collected by Google Analytics is anonymised — we do not have access to personally identifiable information from this service. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months and then securely deleted unless ongoing correspondence requires longer retention. Newsletter subscription data is held for as long as you remain subscribed. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention settings (26 months by default). You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us directly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing
  • Receive a portable copy of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email support@tomdigital.in. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold. Our site uses HTTPS encryption for all connections. However, no method of internet transmission is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or when required to do so by law. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the site after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact Us

If you have questions or concerns about this policy, contact us at support@tomdigital.in or via our contact page.
